ARMENIA-KARABAKH

On August 22 Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received French National Assembly deputies, members of the Union for Popular Movement Guy Teissier, Jacques Remiller, Georges Colombier, and Valerie Boyer.

Issues related to the current state of bilateral relations and prospects of their development were discussed at the meeting, the Information Department of the NKR President told ArmInfo's correspondent to Stepanakert.

President Sahakyan stressed the importance of the role of France in maintaining peace and stability in the region, rating high its activities as the co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group.

In the context of developing bilateral relations Bako Sahakyan highlighted expansion of parliamentary ties, underlining special interest of Artsakh in the given sphere. The two sides stressed the need of further deepening of cooperation and elaborating specific plans in this direction.

Speaker of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan, other officials partook at the meeting.
