Sergey Lavrov: Russia is ready to contribute to Karabakh peace process within OSCE MG in every possible way.

Russia is ready to contribute to the Karabakh peace process within the OSCE Minsk Group in every possible way, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan on Monday. Lavrov recalled that during the meeting in Astana in 2010 Armenia and Azerbaijan expressed their content with the work done by the OSCE Minsk Group.

Russia does its best to observe to the resolutions of the UN Security Council, Lavrov said. He added that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs honestly perform their functions based on the Helsinki principles, which clearly mention the people's right to self-determination, the territorial integrity of the states and the non-use of force.

For his part, Nalbandian pointed out that Azerbaijan constantly breaches the cease-fire regime and demands observing the resolutions of the UN Security Council at the same time.

The OSCE Minsk Group represented by co-chairs from Russia, the United States and France has been trying to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict since 1992.
