Sargsyan-Aliev meeting likely to take place in France - Azerbaijani source

The next round of talks between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will most likely take place in France in June, local media reported on Saturday.

President Sargsyan and Aliyev met on May 16 in Vienna for the first time since a four-day war killed dozens at the beginning of April. Both agreed to meet again in June.

France, alongside Russia and the United States, is a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, which is trying to resolve the two-decade old conflict.

It is important to clarify who will chair the meeting – whether it will be French President Francois Hollande, Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault or Minister of State for European Affairs Harlem Desir,” said Kayts Minasyan, according to APA.az.

At the Vienna meeting, the presidents agreed to implement concrete steps such as increasing the power of the OSCE monitoring mechanism, and both men agreed the ceasefire should be observed.
