EU Special envoy discusses Karabakh with Azerbaijan president

The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Toivo Klaar, on Monday (3 June) met in Baku with the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

According to the website of the Azerbaijani presidential administration Klaar and his delegation discussed with the Azerbaijani leadership issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and conflict settlement process. The two sides expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in the fields of transport, energy, economy and other fields.

Also present for the meeting was the Head of the European Union Delegation in Baku, Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas and other officials.
