EU envoy discusses Karabakh with Azerbaijani President

EU Special Representative (EUSR) for the South Caucasus, Herbert Salber, met President Ilham Aliev in Baku on Tuesday to discuss the Karabakh conflict and the role of the international community in its resolution.

Also present for the meeting was the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Novuz Mammedov and various other EU officials.

EUSR Salber is currently in the region for discussions with various stakeholders on issues related to the Karabakh conflict and its resolution. He was also due to travel close the the line of contact in the conflict zone to see for himself the conditions of communities closely affected by the conflict.
