Azerbaijan says it has downed an Armenian drone near Nakhchivan (Updated)

Updated: The Azerbaiijani Ministry of Defence has said that it has downed an Armenian drone that tried to enter the country's airspace in the direction of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Some Azerbaijani media have released pictures of the downed unmanned aeriel vehicle. Armenia has denied the incident.

The situation on the line of contact in the Karabakh conflict zone and the international border between the two countries has been reasonably calm over the last weeks as Russian led peace efforts have been ongoing.
