Armenia's Minister of Defence, Vigen Sargsyan, told reporters on Sunday, that despite a number of cease fire violations, the situation on the border and the line of contact with Azerbaijan during the new year and christmas holidays was overall calm.
The Armenian agency, Tert.am quoted the Defence Minister as saying that every cease fire violation had to be investigated.
Earlier, Armenian sources reported that Azerbaijan violated the cease fire fifty times between Saturday and Sunday. Azerbaijani sources say that Armenia violated the cease fire forty four times during the same period. Commonspace.eu has no means to verify these reports.
