Armenia has assumed the chairrmanship of BSEC, the Organisation for Black Sea Economic Co-operation, for the next six months under the rotation system of the organisation
Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian on December 15 participated in the 37th session of the council of foreign ministers of the BSEC in Kiev, The session was attended by highranking delegations of 12 BSEC member states, 13 observer countries and partner organizations.
Addressing the gathering Foreign Minister Nalbandian said Armenia was committed to BSEC's strategic goals, and reaffirmed his country's support to the organization’s economic agenda which aims at expanding regional cooperation, as stated in the BSEC charter goals.
Spaking about his country's chairmanship of the structure, Nalbandian said Armenia will focus on the expansion of economic cooperation in the BSEC region, and will promote the agenda through existing mechanisms in the upcoming six months.
