Another Armenian conscript dies in unclear circumstances

A 19-year-old Armenian conscript was found dead on July 23 close to a military post in the Karabakh conflict zone

Reports have been released by Armenia's Investigative Committee regarding the death of a 19-year-old conscript of the "Defence Army of the Republic of Artsakh", Volodya Galoyan, on the night of July 23.

According to a number of sources, Armenia's investigative committee have released a statement reporting that on Tuesday (July 23) night Galoyan opened fire attempting to kill his senior officer using an AK-74 assault rifle, before fleeing and turning the gun on himself. His attempt to kill the office was unsuccessful. The conscript's body was reportedly found with a gunshot wound to the chin, 50 metres from the military defence post.
