The American Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Georgia next week, before attending a NATO summit in the Polish capital of Warsaw.
The United States' top foreign policy official will meet prime minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili on July 6, State Department spokesperson John Kirby said, for “bilateral discussions on a range of issues, including U.S. support for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and successful elections in October".
On July 7 he will travel to Ukraine, before heading to Poland with President Barack Obama for the long-anticipated NATO summit.
He will then co-host a meeting of the U.S.-Georgia Strategic Partnership Commission, as well as holding meetings with opposition leaders and president Giorgi Margvelashvili.
