Erdogan and Pashinyan met in Prague

Turkish President, Recip Tayip Erdogan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met at Prague Castle on Thursday, (6 October) on the margines of the first summit of the European Political Community.

The closed-door meeting came as both countries engage in a process for normalising their relations. No other information was released on the meeting, but Armenian sources said the focus was on the swift implementation of the decisions taken by the special envoys of the two countries following their meetings in recent weeks. This includes the opening of borders for citizens of third countries.

Earlier, Erdogan, Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had a brief conversation at the foyer ahead of the summit of the pan-European leaders' platform to discuss common challenges.
