French Ambassador to Armenia sees no alternative to peaceful resolution of Karabakh conflict

There is no alternative to peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, H.E. Mr. Henri Reynaud told student of the Yerevan State University Department for International Relations, Tuesday.

The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs exert genuine efforts to contribute to the conflict's resolution, the Ambassador said. Anyway, he said, only Armenia and Azerbaijan can regulate that problem. It is difficult, of course, but they must find a solution and France and Germany can be a good example, for they have settled their disputes long ago.

Commenting on the rumors about possible change of the OSCE MG format, the Ambassador said that Armenia and Azerbaijan have declared that they are satisfied with the work of the mediators. The Ambassador said that the format is not likely to change within the nearest future.
