Azerbaijan will not be rushed into a meeting with Armenia

Azerbaijan will not be rushed into a meeting with Armenia at the level of Presidents. This was made clear by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov when speaking to journalists in Baku on Tuesday. The Minister was speaking at a joint press conference with the Foreign Minister of Costa Rica Manuel Gonzalez Sanz.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Process will travel to Yerevan on October 26 and then to Baku on October 28.

"There is no need to hurry for defining the place and date of the next meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents" the Minister said, as quoted by the Azerbaijani News Agency APA.

The Minister said that there are two ways the meeting can be organised: "either the presidents will choose the place of a meeting, or the co-chair will make a proposal. In all cases, we are waiting for the co-chairs' visit to the region and we will discuss it," he said.

The minister went on to add that Azerbaijan will participate in the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade, in December.

Trump specifically mentioned Chinese and Russian ships as potential threats in the nearby seas. Greenland, home to about 57,000 people, has had extensive self-government since 1979, though defence and foreign policy remain in Danish hands. While most Greenlanders favour eventual independence from Denmark, opinion polls show overwhelming opposition to becoming part of the US. (click the image to read the full story).
