Armenia says it has captured an Azerbaijani soldier (Updated with Azerbaijani denial)

The captured soldier was named as 21 year old Elnur Hussein-zade, and he is from the town of Barda. But Azerbaijan has denied the incident has taken place and says that the named soldier "was demobilised a while ago due to violation of military discipline and failure of the service, and he currently is not serving in the army."

For Georgia this decision is a small step on a much longer journey. EU and NATO membership remain high on the agenda of the Georgian government, although there is also a realistic assessment that now may not be the time to push these forward. But with Georgians travelling freely in Europe that objective is now certainly one step closer.
