The Armenian Mi-24 military helicopter was shot down by Azerbaijan on 12 November close to the line of contact. The three pilots were killed.

Armenian media sources are reporting that a helicopter of the armed forces of the self-declared Nagorno-Karabkh Republic was shot down by Azerbaijani fire on Wednesday afternoon (12 November), close to the line of contact separating Armenian and Azerbaijani forces.. Speaking at a conference in Oxford, the EU Special Representative, Ambassador Salber, said he hoped conditions will be created for EU diplomats to be able to visit Nagorno-Karabakh and see the situation with their own eyes.

Armenian and Azerbaijani diplomats, academics and activists exchange views with international counterparts.

The conference will analyse the current situation, and discuss what more can be done - and what can be done differently - in order to move the peace process forward.
