Minsk Group troika met with Stepanakert leadership

Diplomats representing the troika countries co-chairing the OSCE Minsk Process on Nagorno-Karabakh on Monday met with the President of the self-declared Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Bako Sahakyan, in Stepanakert.

Igor Popov of Russia, Pierre Andrieu of France, and James Warlick of the United States, were accompanied by the the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk and other officials.

The diplomats are in the region for consultations with different stakeholders in an effort to keep the momentum of discussions for a resolution of the Karabakh conflict. Earlier this week they were in Baku where they met President Ilham Aliev. They are now expected to visit Yerevan for meetings with Armenian officials.

LINKS Europe has successfully completed the first phase of its project to develop the Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue as part of its commitment within the EU4Peace III programme, funded by the European Union. In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
