Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers meet in New York

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Elmar Mammadyarov, met in New York on Wednesday (26 September) on the margins of the UN General Assembly. The meeting was facilitated by the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk process - diplomats representing France, Russia and the United States.

According to media reports, the meeting started in an expanded format, and, subsequently, the two foreign ministers had a tête-à-tête meeting. The reports add that the sides agreed to continue the dialogue, including during the forthcoming visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen to the region.
