Aliyev meets Putin in Tehran ahead of regional summit

President Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Putin of Russia held discussions in Tehran where both leaders are expected to participate later today in a summit which will bring in also the Iranian President, Hasan Rouhani.

Putin and Aliyev also held separate talks during the day with the Iranian leadership, including the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamanei and President Hasan Rouhani.

The first Russia-Iran-Azerbaijan summit took place in Baku in August of last year.
