Events marking the Armenian Genocide Centennial reached their climax this morning with a ceremony at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex on the outskirts of Yerevan. President Serzh Sargsyan led thousands of guests which included Russian president Vladimir Putin and France's President Francois Hollande who payed homage to the memory of those who died.
The Armenian President in a speech to the gathering said that "the Armenian people will always remain standing by the side of those who suffered from crimes against humanity. The unyielding international struggle against crimes of genocide will remain an integral part of our foreign policy."
