The final results in last Saturday's parliamentary elections in Georgia have been announced by the Central Elections Commission, after all votes have been counted. Georgian Dream has 48.65%, United National Movement has 27.13% and Patriots Alliance has 5%. No other party has passed the threshold.

In a statement following parliamentary elections in Georgia the EU said it looks forward "to working with the democratically elected new Parliament and Government to deepen our political and economic relations"

"This election is a victory for all Georgians, winners and losers", the Patriarch said.

In the wake of yesterday's parliamentary elections, Georgia's largest election monitoring NGO, the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED), issued its own parallel vote tabulation (PVT), a count of the proportion, list vote performed in tandem with the official count by ISFED staff.

Three respected Georgian NGOs: GYLA, ISFED and TI Georgia, have given a positive assessment of the pre-election environment in a report issued on the eve of the parliamentary elections. They also noted some shortcomings.
