Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim and Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met in Batumi on Wednesday evening (15 March).
Also present for the meeting was the Advisor of the Georgian Prime Minister on Foreign Policy, Tedo Japaridze.
Yildirim made a short unplanned visit to the Georgian Black Sea port of Batumi on his way back to Turkey from Athens.
Georgia and Turkey have in recent years developed strong bilateral relations in many areas, including defence.
Batumi, the administrative capital of the Georgian Autonomous Republic of Adjara saw some ugly scenes of rioting on Satrurday evening after an incident that started over a parking ticket but escalated quickly.
