The Prime Ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states - Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan - met in Yerevan on Wednesday, 25 October at the invitation of the Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan.
The Prime Ministers form the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union
Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of Eurasian Economic Commission, the executive body of the EAEU, is also attending the meeting.
Addressing the Inter-Governmental Council, Prime Minister Karapetyan emphasised the importance of digital communication for Armenia, given that it does not have a land border with the other EAEU member states. He also called for the harmonisation of the electricty grid between EAEU member states.
Participants of the meeting later met with the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
