The cruiser Moskva, the flagship of the Russian Black Sea fleet, is about to leave the drydock of the 13th Ship Repair Plant in Sevastiopol, in Russian occupied Crimea, after completing repairs. It will return to active service.
The warship was placed in the dock on April 22.
The cruiser Moskva entered service in 1983. As its main armament, the warship carries P-1000 Vulkan missiles launchers.
The Moskva is a key element in Russia's naval capabilities, and is usually on operational duties in the Black Sea and in the Mediterranean. In the second half of 2015, the cruiser led the Russian Navy's permanent Mediterranean taskforce where it was shielding Russia's Hmeymim airbase in Syria with its air defense weapons.
