Israel has called up at least 50,000 reservists to occupy Gaza City

The Israeli army (IDF) has called up at least 50,000 reservists in preparation for the occupation of Gaza City. This has been reported by several news agencies and Israeli media outlets. According to The Times of Israel, the call-up order will be issued on Wednesday.

This large number of new reservists is in addition to the tens of thousands already serving in the army. With this new call-up, the total number of active reservists will rise to around 120,000.

The Times of Israel reports that the IDF has stated that a total of five divisions, comprising tens of thousands of soldiers, will participate in the new offensive in Gaza City. It is not yet clear when Israel intends to begin the offensive.
