Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey prepare for joint military exercises

Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey are preparing to hold joint military exercises in Azerbaijan starting on 2 September.

The "Eternity - 2019" military drills will last until 6 September. A welcoming ceremony for the visiting Georgian and Turkish servicemen was held in Baku on 29 August.

In the meantime Azerbaijan is also preparing to hold joint military aviation exercises with Turkey.The TurAz Qartalı-2019 Joint Flight-Tactical Exercises,will be held in Azerbaijan from 2-16 September.

TurAz Qartalı-2019 Joint Flight-Tactical Exercises will be conducted with the participation of the Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey in accordance with the Annual Military Cooperation Plan between the two countries.

The exercises will involve up to 30 aircraft including MiG-29, F-16, Su-25 and "Kasa" P-235, and helicopters Mi-35, Mi-17, "Sikorsky" UH-70, CH-47 "Chinook", and ATTACK/AH-1W.
