The government of Armenia on Thursday (24 September) approved the proposal to sign a funding agreement with the European Commission on phase I of the program to assist the implementation of judicial reform in Armenia.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, addressing a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, said the agreement stipulates funding by the European Commission to the tune of 30 million euros for phase I of this program, of which 3 million euros are for technical assistance - primarily consulting services, and the remaining 27 million euros to be allocated to Armenia's state budget in three equal installments. The first 9 million euros of this assistance were expected to be received this year.
