Azerbaijan Qafqaz University closed because of Gulenist links

It is reported from Baku that Qafqaz University, the largest private university in the country has closed following allegations of links with the Gulenist movement that has been accused of being behind the failed coup attempt in Turkey.

A statement by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education, cited by the news agency APA, stated that the founder of Qafqaz University has notified the Azerbaijani Education Ministry about the closure of the university

"In this regard, the Education Ministry, after receiving relevant documents, will create a working group in order to ensure the continuation of education of the Qafqaz University students and will carry out the process of their placement", the statement added.
