Russian President Putin to receive Palestinian President Abbas

Russian President Vladimir Putin will receive his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss the situation in the Middle East. This was announced by the Kremlin on Monday evening (12 August).

There is expected to be an exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East in the light of the current aggravation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip,' said a Kremlin message on Telegram.

Abbas is in Moscow until Wednesday and will then travel to Turkey for talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
