Dmitry Atbashyan:

"Stepanakert Airport will be put into service by late June," Dmitry Atbashyan, Head of the Civil Aviation Department at the NKR Government, told ArmInfo.

"The airport is ready. The personnel are currently undergoing training courses. The plane that will fly the first is at the stage of reception. Because of technical reasons, the first flight is scheduled for late June," he said.

Earlier Deputy Head of the Civil Aviation Department at NKR Government Tigran Gabrielyan said that at the initial stage of exploitation, the airport will make only one flight - Yerevan-Stepanakert-Yerevan.

The designed capacity of the airport is 100 passengers/hour. The company will make flights once in two days at the initial stage. The initial flight Stepanakert-Yerevan-Stepanakert will take passenger some 50-60 dollars. In future the airport will offer flights to more destinations.
