Clinton in meetings with Aliev, Nalbandian in Munich. US will continue working with Armenia and Azerbaijan to help them reach an agreement on Karabakh.

The US Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton had seperate meetings yesterday with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliev, and with the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. The meetings took place on the margins of the Annual Munich Security Conference in the Bavarian capital.

Issues related to the Nagrono-Karabakh conflict settlement process, as well as bilateral relations were discussed in the two meetings. Secretary Clinton reiterated her support for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and the continued readiness of the United States to work with the two sides in order to achieve this.

An alert issued to MPs, peers and parliamentary staff by security services identified two LinkedIn profiles, which it says are used on behalf of the Chinese Ministry of State Security (MSS). It says they act as "civilian recruitment head-hunters", targeting individuals working in British politics to solicit "insider insights". UK Security minister Dan Jarvis has said the government will not tolerate "covert and calculated" attempts to interfere with the UK's sovereign affairs, after MI5 warned MPs of the risk from Chinese spies. Jarvis announced a package of measures in the House of Commons to tackle espionage threats to the UK.
