One police officer was killed and two militants were shot dead in an attach on a police post in the Chechen capital, Grozny.
The Russian news agency TASS, citing police sources, said that there were two incidents, probably co-ordinated. A police officer died in the first attack, whilst in the second attach two militants driving towards the police in a Mercedes car were shot dead. Two police officers were injured in the second attack.
The same sources said both attackers were teenagers under 17 years old.
