Явка избирателей на референдуме в Абхазии составила 1,23%.

10 июля в Абхазии состоялся референдум единственным вопросом которого был: "Считаете ли вы необходимым проведение досрочных выборов президента Республики Абхазия?" Но из-за низкой явки избирателей референдум был признан несостоявшимся.

Как сообщил председатель ЦИК Батал Табагуа, "явка избирателей на референдуме составила 1,23%, или 1628 человек". "Всего же в списки для голосования были включены 132 887 человек."

Комментируя результаты референдума президент Абхазии Рауль Хаджимба заявил, что он " не состоялся, и возвратиться к этому вопросу, по нашему закону, в течение двух лет, нельзя". Он также заявил, что намерен продолжать диалог с оппозицией.

9 июля Блок оппозиционных сил распространил заявление в СМИ с объявлением бойкота референдума. Оппозиция обвинила власть в том, что не были созданы условия для свободного волеизъявления.
