Томас де Ваал:

Россия, Франция и США, будучи членами Совета Безопасности (СБ) ООН не позволят Азербайджану продвигать какую-либо резолюцию по Карабаху в СБ. Об этом в беседе с корреспондентом АрмИнфо заявил аналитик Международного Фонда Карнеги Томас де Ваал.

“Разумеется, Совета Безопасности ООН – важная дипломатическая платформа для Азербайджана, на которой он может говорить о проблеме Карабаха, но обсуждать проблему по существу, Азербайджан там не удастся по причине того, что три страны, являющиеся сопредседателями в Минской группе ОБСЕ – Франция, США и Россия - члены СБ, и они ответственны за принятие резолюций”, - отметил аналитик. Он добавил, что страны-сопредседатели в 2008 году уже проголосовали против подобной инициативы Азербайджана.

Отметим, что Азербайджан был избран непостоянным членом СБ ООН.

LINKS Europe has successfully completed the first phase of its project to develop the Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue as part of its commitment within the EU4Peace III programme, funded by the European Union. In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
