Президент Армении освободил от занимаемой должности Генерала армии

Президент Армении освободил от занимаемой должности высокопоставленного генерал-майора Вооруженных сил спустя несколько недель после отставки трех других генералов.

Генерал-майор Мельсик Чилингарян был начальником управления вооружений Вооруженных сил Армении. Как сообщает Арменпресс, указ об освобождении от должности был подписан ещё 20 мая, но было объявлено об этом только в понедельник.

Троих других генералов постигла та же участь в конце апреля, вскоре после четырех дней ожесточенных боев между Арменией и Азербайджаном, худших за последние два десятилетия.

Среди них были заместитель министра обороны Армении - начальник департамента по материально-техническому обеспечению, Алик Мирзабекян, начальник связных войск ВС Армении генерал-майор, Комитас Мурадян, начальник Управления разведки генерального штаба ВС, Аршак Карапетян.

At least 33 soldiers and civilians have been killed while thousands of Thai and Cambodian nationals have been displaced since border fighting broke out on 24 July.
