Юрий Хачатуров назначен генеральным секретарем ОДКБ

Генерал-полковник Юрий Хачатуров, бывший начальник штаба Армянской армии и до недавнего времени секретарь Совета национальной безопасности Армении, назначен генеральным секретарем возглавляемого Россией военного альянса, Организации Договора о коллективной безопасности (ОДКБ).

Данное назначение заверашет период неопределенности в организации после того, как некоторые государства-члены в прошлом году не хотели назначать на эту должность армянина. Со своей стороны Армения настаивала на том, что она имеет право выдвинуть нового Генерального секретаря в соответствии с правилами организации.

Хачатуров родился в Тетри Цкаро, в Грузии, где он прожил до двадцати лет, служил в Советских Вооруженных Силах и также бывал в Афганистане. В 1992 году перешел на службу в армянскую армию.

LINKS Europe has successfully completed the first phase of its project to develop the Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue as part of its commitment within the EU4Peace III programme, funded by the European Union. In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
