Дипломаты Минской Группы встретились с президентом Армении.

Дипломаты от Франции, США и России в понедельник встретились с президентом Армении Сержем Саргсяном в продолжении своего визита в регион, пытаясь сохранить набранные темпы в решении карабахского конфликта.

Визит был омрачен гибелью армянского солдата на линии фронта днем в минувшее воскресенье. Армянская сторона заявила, что это результат снайперского огня открытого со стороны Азербайджана. С азербайджанской стороны никаких комментариев на этот счет не поступало.

Данный вопрос был поднят министром иностранных дел Армении Эдвардом Налбандяном, когда он встретился с дипломатами Минской группы в Ереване.

В настоящее время проводятся консультации для подготовки ко второй встрече президентов Армении и Азербайджана в начале 2014 года. Последняя их встреча, состоявшаяся в ноябре в Вене, была отмечена в качестве позитивного шага вперед со стороны международного сообщества.
