25 июля: Стамбульский суд приговорил главного подозреваемого в убийстве в 2007 году армянского журналиста Гранта Динка, к 23 годам в тюрьме (Радио Свобода).

Стамбульский суд приговорил главного подозреваемого в убийстве в 2007 году армянского журналиста Гранта Динка, к 23 годам в тюрьме (Радио Свобода).

Судейская коллегия признала подозреваемого, Огюн Самаста, виновным в убийстве Динка за пределами своего офиса в январе 2007 года.

Динком, редактором двуязычного турецко-армянского еженедельника "Агос", были возмущены националисты из-за его публикаций о массовых убийствах в начале XX века, которые он называл геноцидом.

Турция отрицает, что убийства являются геноцидом.

Самасту, который признался в убийстве, было 17 лет и он был безработным, когда совершил убийство. Первоначально суд приговорил его к пожизненному заключению, но сократил срок заключения, потому что он был несовершеннолетним на момент убийства.

LINKS Europe has successfully completed the first phase of its project to develop the Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue as part of its commitment within the EU4Peace III programme, funded by the European Union. In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
