5 августа: Шесть альпинистов членов сборной Армении находятся в Грузии, где они попытаются подняться на гору Казбеги, которая с пиком в 5033 метров является одной из самых высоких вершин в горах Кавказа (АРМИНФО)

Вершина была впервые покорена в 1868 г. Фрешфилдом, А. Муром, К. Такером из Лондонского альпийского клуба, с швейцарским проводником. За ними следует российский альпинист Мария Преображенская, которая девять раз взбиралась на гору, начиная с 1900 года.
