1 февраля: Около 50 человек, включая лидера радикальной оппозиции Эдуарда Лимонова, были задержаны во вторник в Москве, поскольку они хотели провести протест в защиту права на свободу собраний, сообщили организаторы и полиция. (Агентство Франс Пресс).

Около 100 человек явились на несанкционированный митинг в центре Москвы, организованный Лимоновым, лидером левого оппозиционного движения "Другая Россия", которых неоднократно арестововали во время аналогичных акции в прошлом. "Несколько человек были задержаны в том числе Лимонов," сообщил Александр Аверин, пресс-секретарь Другой России. Представитель ГУВД Москвы сообщил АФП, что на митинге в общей сложности были задержаны 49 человек.
