Постпред РА в ООН:

Относительно пропагандирующих писем, которые Азербайджан продолжает распространять в ООН, Постоянный Представитель Армении в этой организации Карен Назарян заявил, что бессмысленные азербайджанские публикации руководствуются жалким принципом: "Если вы произнесёте достаточно большую ложь и будете её повторять, то люди в итоге в неё поверят".

"Нас не удивляет агрессивный стиль заявлений Азербайджана, президент которого в своих публичных заявлениях объявляет армян всего мира фашистами и врагами.

Такой шовинизм и подобная антиармянская риторика в первую очередь является попыткой руководства Азербайджана избежать ответственности за последствия ими развязанного оенного конфликта против Нагорного-Карабахской Республики и ходжалинские преступления против собственного народа", - отмечает Карен Назарян, подчеркнув при этом, что в ответ на письмо, которое было распространено Азербайджаном сегодня, "Генеральному секретарю и государствам-членам ООН официально будут представлены наши позиции, которые также будут опубликованы в СМИ".

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly calls for Release of Political Prisoners in Georgia

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has called for the immediate release of all political prisoners in Georgia in a declaration adopted during the Assembly’s 32nd annual session held in Porto, Portugal on 3 July. The declaration expressed alarm over the developments since the parliamentary elections held on 26 October last year including reports of arbitrary detentions, violence and ill-treatment of protesters, opposition leaders and media representatives, as documented by civil society organizations and the Public Defender of Georgia. The declaration also called for new elections to be held in Georgia.
