Посол Польши в Армении:

Польша заинтересована в том, чтобы выделять странам-партнерам программы Евросоюза «Восточное партнерство» больше ресурсов. Об этом журналистам на пресс-конференции заявил посол Польши в Армении Здислав Рачинский.

По его словам, более 4 млрд. евро ЕС выделил средств для содействия странам-партнерам программы ЕС Восточного партнерства. Польша – одна из тех стран, которая выступает за то, чтобы под цели Восточного партнерства было выделено больше ресурсов.

«Мы считаем, что дело имеем не просто с соседями Европы, а европейскими соседями. Мы верим, что эти страны способны достичь такого уровня внутренних преобразований и развития, что на повестке дня политики станет вопрос членства в Европейском Союзе. Это пока тема отдаленная, никто об этом не говорит, чтобы не вызвать, с одной стороны, ложных ожиданий, с другой – противодействия. На сегодняшний день, эти страны не готовы к такому предложению, и вопрос возможно растянется на десятилетия. Чтобы приблизить перспективу, мы считаем, что нужно больше ресурсов», - отметил Рачинский.

Thailand said on Sunday a delegation led by acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai would attend, after US President Donald Trump called the leaders of both countries on Saturday to press for an immediate ceasefire. The Thai government said it had been told by Malaysia that Cambodian Prime Minister Hum Manet would also attend. At least 33 soldiers and civilians have been killed while thousands of Thai and Cambodian nationals have been displaced since border fighting broke out on 24 July.
