Посол Армении в Италии: Стабильность региона зависит не только от нефтегазовых интересов

В Сенате Италии состоялось мероприятие, посвященное 20-летию установления дипотношений с Арменией.

Как сообщили АрмИфно в пресс-службе МИД РА, в ходе мероприятия выступил посол Армении в Италии Рубен Карапетян, который в своем выступлении коснулся переговорного процесса по урегулированию нагорно-карабахского конфликта.  "Необходимо понимать, что стабильность региона зависит не только от нефтегазовых интересов. Невозможно заставить гражданина Арцаха отказаться от своего права жить на независимой земле, соответственно никто не может заставить народ, проливший кров за свободное проживание, жить в составе страны, которая угрожает его физическому существованию", - отметил посол.

Относительно армяно-итальянских отношений посол отметил, что двухстороннее сотрудничество дает уверенность в том, что возможно восстановить былые тесные отношения. По его словам, страны доказали, что возможно существующие между армянским и итальянским народом доверие и симпатию перевести в бизнес сферу.

Thailand said on Sunday a delegation led by acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai would attend, after US President Donald Trump called the leaders of both countries on Saturday to press for an immediate ceasefire. The Thai government said it had been told by Malaysia that Cambodian Prime Minister Hum Manet would also attend. At least 33 soldiers and civilians have been killed while thousands of Thai and Cambodian nationals have been displaced since border fighting broke out on 24 July.
