В Грузии проходит второй тур президентских выборов (обновляется в течение дня)

По предварительным данным, по итогам прошедших выборов Зурабишвили побеждает на президентских выборах, состоявшихся в Грузии.

По данным экзит-полл, проведенного Edison Research, Саломе Зурабишвили, кандидат, поддержанный правящей Грузинской мечтой, одержала победу во втором туре президентских выборов, получив 55% всех голосов. По данным еще одного экзит-полла, проведенного телекомпанией «Имеди» Зурабишвили, набирает 58% голосов.

Голосование завершилось в 20.00 по местному времени, и ожидается, что подсчет голосов продолжится всю ночь.

Явка избирателей во втором туре президентских выборов в Грузии, как представляется, значительно выше, чем в первом туре. Данные, опубликованные Центральной избирательной комиссией, показывают, что к 15 часам местного времени 38/8% избирателей уже  проголосовали. Это значительно выше, чем количество избирателей в первом туре к тому же времени, что составило 30,98%.

По мнению политического редактора  Commonspace.eu, после жестокой битвы в ходе избирательной кампании грузинский народ уже во второй раз дает свой голос. Во время предвыборной кампании, предшествовавшей второму раунду, несколько комментаторов отметили, что высокая избирательная активность во втором туре будет способствовать кандидату от правительства, Саломе Зурабишвили. Многие сторонники правящей партии «Грузинская мечта» (GD) остались в стороне во время первого тура  голосования 28 октября, что привело к неожиданно близкому результату. Согласно этим комментаторам, многие из тех, кто остался в первом раунде в стороне  были агитированы, чтобы проголосовать  во втором туре между кандидатом от GD и кандидатом от Единого национального движения.

Данные, опубликованные Центральной избирательной комиссией Грузии, указывают на более высокую явку, чем в первом туре, при этом 19,6% проголосовали к полудню, что на 3% выше.

В среду (28 ноября), в Грузии, пройдут выборы нового президента страны. В первом туре выборов, состоявшихся 28 октября, ни один из кандидатов не получил необходимых для победы в первом туре 50% голосов.

Президент Георгий Маргвелашвили и премьер-министр Мамука Бахтадзе проголосовали досрочно, в то же время обратившись к избирателям с призывом проголосовать. «Для некоторых это сложный выбор, но я хочу призвать каждого гражданина Грузии прийти на выборы и сделать выбор», - сказал президент Георгий Маргвелашвили после того, как он проголосовал.

"Я хотел бы поздравить граждан Грузии с сегодняшней высокой явкой, и я хотел бы призвать избирателей, граждан Грузии, прийти на выборы, принять решение и сыграть решающую роль в формировании правительства. Спасибо за такую явку, и я уверен, что это продолжится в течение дня, что гарантирует, что выборы пройдут на высоком уровне и будет меньше нарушений", - сказал Маргвелашвили.

Тем временем в Центральной избирательной комиссия заявили, что избирательные участки открылись вовремя, в 08:00, и процесс голосования проходит по всей территории Грузии. 3,703 избирательных участка, в том числе 55 за рубежом. Общее число избирателей составляет 3 528 658 человек. В первые два часа опроса 7,26% избирателей отдали свой голос, немного выше, чем в то же время в первом туре.

После избирательной кампании, которая считается одной из самых неприятных в новейшей истории Грузии, Избирателям предстоит выбрать между кандидатом, поддержанным правящей партией «Грузинская мечта» Саломе Зурабишвили, и кандидатом от Единого национального движения, которого также поддерживает ряд других оппозиционных партий Григол Вашадзе. В первом раунде оба кандидата шли бок о бок, набрав каждый около 38% поданных голосов.

Хотя пост президента считается в основном символическим, выборы стали испытанием прочности и воли между нынешней правящей партией Грузии во главе с Бидзиной Иванишвили и главной оппозиционной силой, которая отождествляется с бывшим президентом страны Михаилом Саакашвили.

The ''Coalition of the  Willing''  of thirty five countries, has renewed its support of Ukriane, at a meeting in Kyiv, held on Ukraine's national day on 24 August, under the chairmanship of British Prime Minister,A ndy Burnham. Burnham has promised to keep up the pressure on Russia despite Moscow's "outrageous threats", on his first official visit to Ukraine as UK prime minister. Burnham met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and chaired his first meeting of the "coalition of the willing", set up by the UK and France under his predecessor Sir Keir Starmer. He said the coalition was "doing everything we can" while urging the US Congress to "ratchet up" economic pressure on Russia. The government has agreed to hand over blueprints for British-made components for the Scalp missile, a French version of the UK's Storm Shadow cruise missile - allowing Ukraine to produce the long-range weapon domestically. During the meeting with France and Ukraine, Burnham said allies were doing "everything we can" to "dig into our own stocks and help others dig into their stocks" of air defences to protect Ukraine. "This is the moment to keep up the pressure on Russia, the moment to squeeze their ability to fund this illegal war," Burnham said, praising the "strength" of the Ukrainian people. "Ukraine has been Europe's protector, not a drain on our security but the front line in keeping Europe safe." It comes after Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticised the UK's decision to share the missile blueprints. Peskov said it prevented "even the slightest progress" towards achieving peace. He told reporters on Monday that the Russian military was already gathering data to locate any missile production sites to destroy them. "Britain is involved in this war on the side of the Kyiv regime. Britain methodically and regularly adds fuel to the fire," he added. In response, Burnham said: "Who started the fire? That's the question, isn't it?" He added the issue of missile interceptors would be the main topic at the coalition of the willing meeting. Burnham chaired his first meeting of the "coalition of the willing" in Kyiv Burnham has been reaffirming the UK's backing for Kyiv in the wake of escalating Russian strikes on Ukraine in recent weeks - including one on a shopping centre on Friday that killed at least 16 people. In a joint statement after the meeting, Burnham and co-chairs French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the group would aim to strength Kyiv's air defences "as a matter or urgent priority". They also condemned Moscow's "systemic and escalating strikes against Ukraine's cities, critical infrastructure and civilians" and pledged to "constrain Russia's war chest through sanctions and actions against the "shadow fleet". The discussions were respectful, the panel format bringing together experts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey was particularly valuable during the NATO Rose-Roth Seminar in Yerevan, and media coverage, while varied in tone, remained largely constructive. Some media outlets though attempted to represent me as more of a government mouthpiece than an independent expert, which was totally misleading.  Overall, I see these initiatives as important steps in rebuilding trust and normalising professional engagement. The fact that soon a larger Azerbaijani civil society visits to Armenia followed, reinforces the sense that this process is moving in the right direction."
