В Ереване арестованы лидеры оппозиции

Армянская полиция арестовала Николу Пашиняна, главного лидера оппозиции, который в течение последних десяти дней руководил уличными протестами, призывающими к отставке премьер-министра Сержа Саргсяна.

Полиция арестовала Пашиняна вскоре после того, как переговоры между ним и премьер-министром Саргсяном сорвались спустя  несколько минут после начала. Саргсян покинул встречу, обвинив Пашиняна в попытке шантажа правительства.

В ходе операции по задержанию Пашиняна полиция использовала оглушающие гранаты. Под стражу также были взяты по меньшей мере два других члена парламента от оппозиционного блока «Елк», а также многие другие участники демонстрации.
