В Баку обсудили проблему разминирования в контексте карабахского конфликта

8 апреля в столице Азербайджана состоялась встреча за круглым столом в рамках проводимой с 4 по 10 апреля кампании ЮЖНЫЙ КАВКАЗ СВОБОДНЫЙ ОТ НАЗЕМНЫХ МИН «Контекстуальные вызовы усилиям по ликвидации бедствий связанных с наземными минами и неразорвавшимися боеприпасами на Южном Кавказе».

На встрече присутствовали государственные чиновники, дипломаты, представители международных и местных организаций гражданского общества и эксперты. Мероприятие открыл глава представительства Европейского Союза в Азербайджане посол Кястутис Янкаускас, а с основным докладом выступил директор LINKS (DAR) Деннис Саммут.

US intelligence report highlights Russian influence over Georgia

Following the parliamentary elections of October 2024, the ruling Georgian Dream party created favourable conditions for the growth of Russian influence in the region according to the annual report of the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) that has just been presented to the US Congress. The report says Moscow is almost certainly seeking to bring Georgia back into its sphere of influence and has already made progress through internal political developments in the country.
