Спецпред ЕС в конце своего регионального тура встретился с президентом Армении

Специальный представитель Европейского Союза по Южному Кавказу Тойво Клаар завершил свой визит в регион встречей в пятницу (23 февраля) с президентом Армении Сержем Саргсяном.

В заявлении на сайте президента Армении говорится, что Саргсян и Клаар обсудили вопросы, касающиеся двусторонних отношений между Арменией и ЕС, региональной ситуации, а также нагорно-карабахского конфликта.

На встрече с президентом Армении также присутствовал глава делегации ЕС в Армении Петр Шилальский и сотрудники офиса Специального представителя.

В понедельник, 26 февраля, Тойво Клаар, как ожидается, выступит на мероприятии в Европейском политическом центре в Брюсселе по вопросу о состоянии отношений между ЕС и странами Южного Кавказа, а также о вкладе ЕС в урегулирование конфликтов на Южном Кавказе. Встреча организована совместно EPC и LINKS («Диалог, анализ и исследования»).

Thailand said on Sunday a delegation led by acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai would attend, after US President Donald Trump called the leaders of both countries on Saturday to press for an immediate ceasefire. The Thai government said it had been told by Malaysia that Cambodian Prime Minister Hum Manet would also attend. At least 33 soldiers and civilians have been killed while thousands of Thai and Cambodian nationals have been displaced since border fighting broke out on 24 July.
