Патриарх Илиа II провел Рождественскую службу

7 января православные христиане во всем мире празднуют Рождество.

Католикос-Патриарх всея Грузии Илиа II возглавил специальную рождественскую службу в Соборе Святой Троицы в Тбилиси, в сопровождении архиепископов и епископов Грузинской Православной Церкви.

По поводу самочувствия грузинского Католикоса были опасения, но, несмотря на его слабое состояние, Патриарх Илиа II поздравил всех верующих с Рождеством.

Также было зачитано Рождественское послание Патриарха.

Среди прихожан в Свято-Троицком Соборе были премьер-министр Георгий Квирикашили и другие члены правительства.

Аналогичные службы состоялись минувшей ночью в России и в других православных странах и среди православных христианских общин мира.
