Парламентские выборы в Армении состоятся 9 декабря (Обновлено)

Процесс инициирования досрочных выборов в Армении завершен. Парламент не смог избрать премьер-министра во втором туре, вызвав роспуск парламента и досрочные выборы, которые в настоящее время запланированы на 9 декабря.

Ожидается, что на этой неделе парламент Армении самораспустится до парламентских выборов. Исполняющий обязанности премьер-министра Никол Пашинян сказал, что выборы состоятся 9 декабря. Пашинян в четверг утром (1 ноября) ответил на вопросы в парламенте перед голосованием по поводу его кандидатуры на пост премьер-министра, который, как ожидается, не будет избран, что позволит распустить парламент.

До его роспуска парламент не смог принять изменения в избирательном законодательстве, которые были одобрены Венецианской комиссией, поскольку фракция Республиканской партии, которая до сих пор имеет большинство в парламенте, возражает против них. Поэтому выборы будут проводиться по старому законодательству.
