Координатор ООН в Армении:

Решение о заявке Азербайджана на временное членство в Совете Безопасности ООН будет рассмотрено с учетом того факта, что в регионе есть неразрешенный нагорно-карабахский конфликт. Об этом журналистам в Ереване заявила постоянный координатор ООН, постоянный представитель ПРООН в Армении Дафина Герчева.

Она добавила, что во внимание будет также принято то, что возможное членство Азербайджана в структуре может оказать негативное воздействие на ход мирного урегулирования конфликта. Герчева напомнила, что у ООН нет мандата в процессе разрешения конфликта в Нагорном Карабахе. «Мы, тем не менее, поддерживаем усилия Минской группы ОБСЕ с тем, чтобы конфликт в Карабахе был урегулирован мирным путем», - резюмировала она.

Отметим, что министр иностранных дел Азербайджана с трибуны Генассамблеи ООН призвал членов ООН поддержать кандидатуру Азербайджана в качестве непостоянного члена Совета Безопасности.

LINKS Europe has successfully completed the first phase of its project to develop the Armenia-Azerbaijan dialogue as part of its commitment within the EU4Peace III programme, funded by the European Union. In this first phase, which lasted from September 2024 to April 2025, LINKS Europe conducted an assessment of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and mobilised the personnel necessary for delivering the project output. LINKS Europe Foundation is pleased to announce the names of the chairs/co-chairs of the five thematic groups within the initiative.
