Президент Турции Эрдоган встретился с армянским министром во время инаугурации.

Министр иностранных дел Армении, Эдвард Налбандян, представил свою страну на инаугурации нового президента Турции Реджепа Тайипа Эрдогана в Анкаре, в минувший четверг (28 августа). Налбандян был одним из многих международных гостей на инаугурации. Однако, его присутствие стало знаменательным, учитывая, что между двумя странами нет дипломатических отношений. Наблюдатели приветствовали присутствие главы армянской дипломатии на инаугурации в качестве возможного сигнала  нового этапа потепления в отношениях между двумя странами.
